Khairul & Zaimie - Portraiture Session

27Nov08

I’ve always wanted to do an outdoor shoot at one of the UPM’s fields. The greenery is awsome and it looks more like a country side, rather than a cow field beside a highway. Some people even believe that this session was shot outside of Malaysia.

Khairul and Zaimie brought me to this place. I feel kinda stupid for not exploring the place before, since i live only 10 mins from the location. But i’m glad they showed me the way and i’ll be back to explore this place. I think it has a lot of potential.

The photos turned out good. The sky was vey pleasing on the day and also the light is magnificent. Natural light always rock my world. hehe. So enjoy the pics!

Honeymoon - Manchestah and the ayam masak merah

26Oct08

Goin from Liverpool to Manchester, Dali picked us up at dodi’s house with his car, a SATRIA! Dali said he bought it for £40.. haha good bargain. We’re not gonna stay long in Manchester bcoz our bus on the next day will be at 12pm, so that leaves us less than 24 hours to go around manchester.

After settling down at dali’s place, we went for a stroll at the city of manchester. While dali had to go to work, we went window shopping and walked around town. Dali told us to meet him at his workplace, Ning Restaurant a malay thai cuisine. We had a phad thai and nasi with ayam masak merah. Frankly speaking, it was the worst ayam masak merah i had ever tasted in my entire life! It was not even an ayam masak merah, more like ayam dipped in a red water. Tasteless and suck big time. I pity those mat sallehs who ate at the restaurant. But we appreciate dali’s gesture to buy us dinner. Thanks man… After he finnished work he came to me and said “sape soh ko makan ayam masak merah? dah la mende tu tak sedap.. haha”… demmit

The next day we went to old trafford, the home of world’s famous football club Manchester United (yuck) and to the City of Manchester Stadium, home of Man City. I did hope bumping into robinho, but it didn’t happen.. hehe. We procced to the coach station 30 minutes before our bus leaves, wishing we’d have more time to spend at Manchester. It’s a lovely city, pity us for not having enough time to explore it all.. But anyways, we have to go to london..

London here we come!

Honeymoon - The Merseyside

18Oct08

Even though we’re married for more than 2 months already, we haven’t had our honeymoon yet. Because of certain reason, we have to go for honeymoon during this time. At first we thought Australia was going to be our honeymoon destination, but alhamdulillah we are going to europe instead!

We set our foot on UK soil at 2.30 pm on 15th Oct after a tiring 6 hours transit in dubai. First destination, Liverpool! Home of LIverpool FC and the beatles,  which makes a perfect destination since im a die hard liverpool fan and wifey is a huge fan of the beatles. After leaving Heathrow airport by the new train system to london, we made our way to Victoria Coach Station to take our bus to Liverpool. It will be another 5 and a half hours travelling, on top of the 20 hours that we had been through so far. We slept during most of the journey and safely arrived at Liverpool at 11.30 where a friend of mine, Dodi came and pick us up. We will be staying at his place for 2 nights during our stay at the merseyside.

Next day, first thing in mind was Anfield. Can’t believe i’m goin to visit a football club that i have supported during my entire life, watched most of the live matches on TV, stayed up late to see the miracle of istanbul. Speechless… Im kinda bumped not being able to go for the stadium tour, they are fully booked until the next week. What to do, i just have to settle for the museum tour then, maybe next time :)

Had a few goosebumps while visiting the museum, seeing all the rich history of club. The istanbul video was played quite number of times just to remind the fans how magical and special that night was to the football club. After the museum tour, headed down to the LFC store to but some souvenirs. I wished that i could buy the whole store but wifey said no… hehe

After anfield we headed to Albert Dock, where the beatles main museum tour is located. It is called The Beatles Story. WIfey got really excited and i had no clue whatsoever as my knowledge on the beatles are very limited. Ok i know a few of their hit songs, but that’s it. The museum tour was really an eye opener for me into the beatles’ world. Quite exciting i would say. Then we went to The Cavern, a club where The Beatles first performed.

The next day we didn’t do much. We walked around town, taking photos, window shopping, enjoying liverpool’s autumn breeze. Later at noon, Dali came all the way from Manchester to pick us up at Dodi’s place. Goodbye Liverpool, hello Manchester…

Naim & Fadia - Akad Nikah

13Oct08

A friend of mine since standard 4, Fadia got married last friday. It was a joyous occasion, lots of Bangians came to celebrate her beautiful day, too bad mench-on was not there to fill it with his trademark elklahiko, so the event went just fine.. Lack of drama i would say.

I was tagged by apis and azizil, whom i met through photoschool forum, just to try them out and measure their capablilities. Maybe if they’re good, i’ll hire them to be my jr photographer. hmm we’ll see.

This particular picture was taken with another picture in mind. 3 of bride’s best friends, including Fadia, lifting up the bride which was taken on Eleena’s wedding back in 2005. 3 years down the road, it’s Fadia’s turn to be lifted..

To Naim and Fadia, Selamat Pengantin Baru to both of you.. Hope u enjoy your pics..
